Αναγνώριση του Ωνασείου Καρδιοχειρουργικού Κέντρου από τη Διεθνή Ομοσπονδία Νοσοκομείων (International Hospital Federation) ως ένα από τα 103 Νοσοκομεία σε 28 χώρες για την ανταπόκρισή τους στην πανδημία του κορονοϊού στο πλαίσιο του Προγράμματος “Beyond the Call of Duty for COVID-19 Program”
Το Ωνάσειο Καρδιοχειρουργικό Κέντρο βρίσκεται ανάμεσα σε 103 νοσοκομεία από 28 χώρες που αναγνωρίστηκαν από τη Διεθνή Ομοσπονδία Νοσοκομείων (International Hospital Federation-IHF) για την εφαρμογή βέλτιστων πρακτικών για την αντιμετώπιση της πανδημίας του κορωνοϊού COVID 19 στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος “Beyond the Call of Duty for COVID-19” (ελεύθερη μετάφραση «Πέρα από τα όρια του καθήκοντος για τον COVID-19»).
΄Οπως δήλωσε ο Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος της IHF Ronald Lavater, η εξαιρετική εργασία που έχει γίνει ως ανταπόκριση στην πανδημία θα μεταμορφώσει το μέλλον της υγειονομικής περίθαλψης. «Ένα από τα κίνητρα για τη δημιουργία του Προγράμματος Αναγνώρισης είναι η ανάγκη να τονίσουμε την πολυμορφία και την ευελιξία που επέδειξε ο νοσοκομειακός κλάδος κατά την ανταπόκρισή του έναντι της πανδημίας του COVID 19. Η πανδημία ώθησε τα νοσοκομεία να αναπτύξουν, να εφαρμόσουν και να υιοθετήσουν νέους τρόπους λειτουργίας και πολλές από αυτές τις αλλαγές έχουν επιταχύνει θετικές αλλαγές στην παροχή φροντίδων υγείας».
